DIY: wooden word art

DIY wooden word art by momentstolivefor
This is, as always, a very easy and fast DIY to create a beautiful wooden word art as decoration. All you need are a wooden word, some acrylic paint, a good brush and a cute washi tape. I used white and gold acrylic paint and the cute washi tape from the Masking-Tape Christmas (Set C).

First I applied a ground coat of white to the wooden word twice, to make sure nothing
of the wood was to be seen anymore.

Then I painted the upper site gold. Make sure not to paint over the edges.

Finally I applied three stripes of washi tape to the word at the straight letter parts. For the dot on
the 'i' I arranged the tape that way, that the borderline of the tape from one pattern to the next represented the borderline of the dot to the rest of the letter.
